Sorry, but I don’t have a regular class running in this style at the moment.
Learn to glide around that floor! You’ll cover a number of elegant & fun ballroom dances in this class: Foxtrot, Waltz, Quick Step, Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Merengue, Salsa, Argentine Tango, Swing, Jive and more.
Our focus is on social dance in this class using the DWA teaching technique – It results in a relaxed style to make you look confident and natural on the floor – we teach you to dance freestyle in these classes using lead and follow, which means you are not restricted to dancing with one partner or only with people who attend the same class..
A more relaxed style than competition Ballroom, it’s much more akin to what happened in the Dance Halls in Glasgow in the 1930s & 40s where everyone learned how to put sequences together in different orders – It’s lots fun – so the focus is to learn the dance & enjoy yourself.
What To Wear
Go for comfort first. This is a social dance, so smart / casual clothes are fine. Shoes: Men – a smooth soled shoe is best: Ladies – a smooth soled shoe with a small heel (no stilettos or sling backs for the sake of safety and preservation of the floors)
